Great Lakes Glass and Calibration: client spotlight

For Zak Kantola, a high school summer job at the auto shop was more than just a temporary gig. It would help him one day open his own shop in the very place it all began. Zak officially opened Great Lakes Glass and Calibration in winter of 2025 in Ishpeming, Michigan. He says, “Starting GLG has always been a dream after working in the industry for so many years and seeing first hand the need for good quality auto glass.” Zak saw a lack of industry on a local scale and decided to make the move to fill the gap. When asked what advice he would give to other entrepreneurs starting a business, Zak replied, “Follow your dreams but also remember you’re in it for the long run and success will not happen overnight.”
